Since Dr. Burres is both a board certified ear, nose, and throat and facial plastic surgeon, he has a vast experience at performing ear surgery of any kind. He has performed thousands of the ear surgerys over the past 20 years and has published medical papers on his procedures and instructed other doctors on how they are performed. Surgery is often performed on the outer portion of the ear to improve its appearance in shape. The surgical procedures are considered minor and are often performed with only local anesthesia though of course sedation and even general anesthesia are both available. under local anesthesia you may be able to observe the result and often small adjustments may be made so that it will appear the way you wanted it to. All procedures are performed in our fully certified Beverly Hills surgical center. Except for some minor bruising around the ear the recovery is usually very simple.
